Let's talk about ...... Moldavite.

Since starting my Crystal business I've been asked about Moldavite, A LOT. So I thought I would share my personal experience as well as some information, to act as a general guide to those who are interested in learning more about this fascinating cosmic creation. 

Like many others, when I had first heard about this mysterious find, I was intrigued and wanted to find out as much as I could. Already being open to this world and having experienced many times, the powerful impact of crystals. The idea of something even more powerful, that was capable of elevating your frequency, was too compelling not to investigate for myself. Even with just my first snippet of information, my mind was alight with ideas of - what this stuff actually was? Did anyone really know? What could it actually do? Was it really from outer space ?

 Information was pretty hit and miss and I found many warnings and negative tales, it seemed more people were afraid of what it it 'could do to your life' than were actively working with it. Delving a little deeper though, a lot of these warnings, were not in fact first hand experiences, just for social media effect, with clearly fake specimens and more often than not, the general vibe was everything worked out for the best..... 'so what's the worst that could happen?' I thought. 

Lets first take a step back and clear up a few myths and just clarify what Moldavite is and what it's not.

Where does Moldavite come from ? 

Moldavite is a natural glass that was formed when I meteor hit the earth around 15 million years ago. The force of the impact melted and forced debris, from both the meteor and earth high into the air, where it rapidly cooled and fell back to earth, having formed pieces known as Tektites ( once molten ) These Tektites are gem quality and because they contain elements not found on earth, they are classed as being of extra terrestrial origin. Visually Moldavite is various shades of green in colour, with a pitted, layered texture with internal bubbles.

What can Moldavite do ? 

Moldavite is associated with themes of transformation and rapid evolving spiritual perspective. A catalyst for rapid and powerful spiritual transformation. There is evidence of Moldavite being used in stone age times in talisman and amulets for good fortune and fertility. Moldavite is said to not be for everyone or every situation and care should be used when first working with its energies. It is said to be an amplifier and certainly not a fixer and will attract changes and shifts in your experience, while dispelling what hinders your awakening.

There are many reports of Moldavites abilities to balance chakras because of its high vibrational energy. Many link its energy to enhancing psychic ability, intuition and a greater connection to 'All that is' Universal source energy. Moldavite can help you to see things as they truly are, allowing us to focus on our greatest potential. Many keepers of Moldavite have documented amazing accounts of dream work with an ET focus, astral travel and links to ancestors, and Pleiadas systems. 

What you may experience when coming into contact with Moldavite ?

A lot of people report a strong reaction when first coming into contact with Moldavite and describe a full body experience including light headedness, tingling, there are many reports of physical side affects, including the 'Moldavite Flush' where coming into contact invokes a sensation of heat over the body. Strong emotions can be brought to the surface and reactions can be laughing/crying and everything in between. 

 I have read many accounts of Moldavite being 'lost' only to be found again in the same place some time later. The power to disappear and reappear at will has long been connected to not only cosmic glass this but other crystals too.

How to use Moldavite 

'Can I just put it in my pocket/bag/ wear it in a piece of jewellery?'

Yes, Of course you can..... but you may like to ask, why would you want to limit yourself to that?

Of course, please be under no pressure to start down a path you are not comfortable with, if this is as far as you would like to take your experience, then that is personal choice and you must always trust your instincts. 

If you have been called to be a keeper of some Moldavite I would recommend using in meditation, Be open to whatever experience and feelings it may bring. Give it your time. Don't fear it. If you are ready to accept change, trust that you are being assisted to your true path. Remember that it often takes some time and reflection, to realise events can work out for the best after all.

Cleanse when you first receive your piece and start slow, maybe a few minutes at first, but just continue what feels right for you. Using a grounding crystal after can help reconnect you to the earth.

When used in dream work, it is said to transcend time, allowing you to look both forward and back. Once you are used to the energies, you could try placing under your pillow as you sleep.

 Remember that everyone feels energies differently and it may not be the right phase of life for this particular connection.

If you feel the connection is too intense, don't be afraid to come back to it at a later date. Maybe try working with some Libyan Desert Glass or some Malachite.

Fakes, Price, Availability.

Moldavite is extremely rare and is almost exclusively  (99%) found in the Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. because of this, the price is pretty high and is more often sold in very small pieces, don't let the small size fool you though, these tiny fragments really do pack a punch. Unfortunately, because of its growth popularity and with its recent exposure such as TikTok trends etc Fake Moldavite has saturated the market, with many dishonest sellers passing fake pieces off as genuine. A lot of fake is easy to spot...if you know what you're looking for and is usually just glass, however some stuff is pretty convincing, with more sophisticated techniques being used. Price isn't always an indication of authenticity, though if its cheap/large it'll be fake, but prices are high for fake, sometimes even higher than for genuine!

Ok, back to my story.

Once I'd made the decision that I would like to be the keeper of some, ( approximately 27 seconds after reading Extra Terrestrial ) I knew I needed to source some from someone I could trust, so I turned to a supplier I had bought from before, had build a trust and felt aligned with. I bought two small pieces for around £45  each. One for myself and one to keep for my daughter to have when she was older - my thinking the pieces were connected and also because of the very limited future supply and expected price increasing even further. 

When my parcel arrived, I very carefully, almost cautiously, opened it up and carefully tipped the first tiny piece out onto my palm. I sat on my bed examining the small green fragment in awe, I was excited, but also focused on trying to discover just what had come into my life. I almost instantly felt my face flush and a heat travel to the top of my head. 'Wow, stay relaxed' I told myself. I closed my eyes for a moment or two, just breathing and taking note of the sensations I was feeling. My hearing was muffled and I was hot, with a light headache, I opened my eyes and recognised a feeling I have had before, I'm going to pass out, 

I lay the Moldavite down on my bedside table and lay back, My palm continued to feel hot and tingled. After a short time, the feeling passed. The closest I can associate the sensation to, is when your bath has been too hot and if you get our too quickly, so need to lay down - anyone else? just me ?

I put my new companion in a little box and took it downstairs, where it stayed till the next day. That night I had vivid dreams. Over the next few weeks as well as my gratitude practice and other spiritual development tools, I meditated holding the Moldavite, increasing the amount of time, using a grounding crystal, usually Obsidian, sometimes Smokey Quartz, sometimes going to the garden and standing barefoot on the earth. For the first few times, the sensation was the same but became less intense over time, although I still have times during my practice, I am overcome with emotion, tears fall and become very lightheaded again.

I don't often sleep with my Moldative even in the same room, unless I am especially focusing on dream work,  as I find It can encourage very vivid lucid dreams. ( Something I have always experienced ) My dream journal makes for a very interesting read.

By this stage I felt very connected with my little green friend and I placed in a silver ball cage and started wearing on a chain, again building up the time.

Has Moldavite changed my life ?

So that's the physical side of my experience. A lot of the stories I'd heard referred to the life changing transformation that can be brought about, at accelerated rates. Well I certainly had some of that too. I started my own business, I got divorced, I had extreme financial fluctuations, I welcomed in so many people into my life and I cut a lot of people out. A heart can break for many reasons and  I feel like I have learnt to let go of a lot that has been holding me back, people, past trauma, unfair expectations and unnecessary complications. 

Have I elevated my frequency? Is it because of the Moldavite ?

Would all of the life events and experiences that I encountered have happened anyway? 

All I can be sure of, is adding Moldavite to by Spiritual development has had a huge impact on my journey to self discovery, along with using the laws of the universe. I have found freedom in releasing the past and have started living. I feel like I am more connected to my true self than ever before, more connected to none physical and that I am on my true path of being of service to others through my work. 

I definitely have new insights into many aspects of spiritual life, I feel when I am learning new things, it's almost as if, I have known them before and I am remembering.  I plan to keep wearing my Moldavite everyday and truly believe it has been instrumental in my journey. 

 Some final thoughts, cleanse and charge like with other crystals. 

Remember, the Moldavite is working with you, not against.
